SO WHAT IS DIVERSITY?
It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along. the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other cultural background. A common misconception about diversity is that it only pertains to certain persons or groups, when in fact, exactly the opposite is true. Diversity can include Race, Ethnicity, Gender, Age, Religion, Disability, and Sexual orientation.

“If your customers are different that you and they feel unrecognized, you will begin to lose them.” Diversity is important not only from a corporate responsibility standpoint but also for viability in an increasingly heterogeneous market. According to stats diverse organizations perform better at marketing and selling to diverse audiences than organizations that are more homogenous.
